TAG Heur watches’
Mikrotimer Flying 1000 won the Alta Relojeria Mexico “Best Concept
Watch” award at the SIAR (Salon Internacional de Alta Relojeria)
convention, which was held last week in Mexico City. TAG Heuer watches’
winning watch beat off competition, which included Christophe Claret’s
21 Blackjack and Parmigiani’s Bugatti Super Sport. Presented in
Baselworld 2011 as a Concept Chronograph will be commercialized by the
end of the year with a suggested $88,000 price tag.
This Concept Chronograph is the latest TAG Heuer first: the only
mechanical chronograph to measure and display the 1/1,000th of a second.
Its oscillating system vibrates at 3,600,000 beats per hour–125 times
faster than most existing chronographs and 10 times faster than the
Carrera Mikrograph 1/100th, which TAG Heuer watches
launched earlier this year. With 11 patents pending on its pioneering
technology, this Concept Chronograph opens up a new window on time. But
what is even more remarkable is that the pioneers at TAG Heuer didn’t
even know whether the watch’s technology would work until 12 days before
 they made the announcement.
TAG Heuer wins marks their
second Alta Relojeria Mexico Award. Their first award was received in
the “Chronograph of the Year” category in 2008 for the Grand Carrera
Calibre 36 RS.voir plus des montre et Bvlgari
